Dear Parents and Carers
Thanks for all your support to make the World Book day activities a success last week. It was really appreciated. The outfits and activities were brilliant and everyone enjoyed.
Learning as always, should be fun and engaging. Keeley and I were reminded again, last week when we met with the Head of School Improvement for Leeds, Dave Clark, and his Secondary colleague Katie North, who both visited West Oaks, of how privileged we are to work in our school community.
They came to see some of our provision and to understand our quality assurance model, to get a flavour of our five curriculum pathways, to meet our Heads of School and see our innovative âenvironment as the third teacherâ and âexcellence for everyoneâ models in action.
Both Dave and Katie left West Oaks School energised, excited, and impressed by what they had seen and heard. They also were extremely impressed by what we had achieved collectively over a significant period. Dave followed this up with an email to say:
âjust a quick email to say a huge thank you to you both for spending time with Katie and I on Wednesday. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning at your sites and witness first-hand the superb job you and your teams are all doing at West Oaks. It was a wonderful insight into the care, passion, effort, and vision you have developed for your young people.â Dave Clark Head of Service â Learning Improvement, Leeds.
There are so many exciting and engaging activities going on at our school and we will continue to share with you these activities via the class leads and Heads of School vis class dojo but also through our âsocial wallâ on our website.
As West Oaks no longer uses Twitter to highlight our work, please check out our social wall on our school website for further updates. I am sure, after Easter, there will be further improvements and new ways introduced, that will help us communicate and celebrate our pupils work via the appropriate social media outlet.
Have a wonderful week and take care everyone.
Best wishes
Andrew
